... looking for a Recovery Mentor!

Picture

I AM believes that one of the most important and helpful parts of recovery is finding a Mentor or Sponsor who can share their individual experience, knowledge and inspiration. Our I AM Mentorship Program pairs Mentors with Mentees and Sponsors with Sponsees. If you're interested in learning more and becoming involved, please contact us!

To become a Mentor or a Sponsor:

  • Your level of recovery must be at least one year largely free from symptoms of disordered eating behaviors, unhealthy coping patterns and body dysmorphic thinking. More importantly, you're willing to share your strength, experience and hope with a Mentee, someone who's newer to the recovery journey.
  • Both a Mentor and a Sponsor can work with Mentees to help further recovery; the difference being that a Sponsor will work with you based on the 12-Steps of Overeaters Anonymous or Eating Disorders Anonymous.
To become a Mentee:

  • You are fresh on your journey towards eating disorder recovery and searching for a Mentor who can help provide guidance and inspiration based on her or his own experience. In order to be paired with a Mentor, you must be 100% willing to dedicate yourself to your recovery, however that process and progress may unfold.

Get involved in the I AM Mentorship Program today!

Important Note: A Mentoring or Sponsoring relationship is completely voluntarily and is not intended to replace the supervision and care of a qualified medical professional. If you are a minor, please first obtain permission from your parent(s) or legal guardian.
