                          ...deeper than this skin

                          Picture
When you look in the mirror do you see your authentic self, the way that God sees you or do you struggle with the pain of body hatred and feeling out of control with food? If you do you are not alone.  Did you know that 80% of American women (4 out of 5) are dissatisfied with their appearance? Pretty discouraging! It is about the food and it is not about the food and it is about the food and it is not about the food. When the food is "in order," recovery is not or may not be about the food at all. When the food is not "in order," recovery is or may be only about the food.*

Recovery isn't necessarily for people who need it. It's for people who want it, and are willing to do the work for it. The solution is you don't have to fight this any longer. If you are willing to admit you are powerless, that your life is unmanageable, and that no human, place or thing  can relieve you from the impulsive to compulsively eat then congratulations you have already made the first step. Let's move on to working on the inside out.
